Okay first of all you need to gather all of the items needed to make the bracelet.
I used a Paracord Craft Book I won in a giveaway to try a new design that I had never done before. You also need 8 feet of white and 8 feet of pink paracord (you can buy them at Walmart for $4.42), one buckle (you can get 6 at Walmart for $2.75), a ruler, scissors, and a lighter to burn the ends so they don't fray.
First you fold the paracord in half and insert through the buckle:
Then you want to bring the ends through the loop to secure the buckle to the paracord:
Now you are ready to start tying knots to make the actual bracelet (I chose the Raising the Bar Bracelet).
You have one of each color in the middle, these are your standing cords, and one of each on the outside, these are your tying cords. You start with the right tying cord and go over the standing cord then behind the standing cord and through the loop it makes, then you repeat with the left:
You keep repeating and it will start to look like this:
You will continue to alternate until you get to the desired legnth of the bracelet, then you will pull all four cords through the other end of the buckle:
You will then pull the standing cords back through the last knot you tied and then burn with lighter to secure:
Then according to the directions you pull the tying cords through the knot right under the last one, but I could not get mine to go through, so I wraped the tying cords around and tied into a regular knot, then burned ends to secure:
Now you are ready to wear it!!!
If you are having trouble making the bracelet, you can do a youtube search or you can purchase the Paracord Craft Book that I won for $7.29.
So you are not the arts and crafts type person, well you are in luck, because I am giving one of these away. So make sure to check out the giveaways tab so you can enter to win.
And that is it for today's DIY craft. Make sure to keep an eye out for more to come.
