But I just keep thinking, my son depends on me, I have to be his voice and his pillar so that he can grow into a wonderful young man. That is very scary right now, as his future is not certain. We don't know how much additional therapy is needed, additional doctors are needed, and most of all I where I am going to learn to be more patient with him!!!!
It does not take much for me to lose my cool, but knowing that he cannot help his behavior is something I need to take into account.
We are having him evaluated for Pre-K, so getting him involved with other children will help greatly. We have a doctor appointment in a few days, so I am sure I will get some answers and resources then.
But until then, I look to friends, family and support groups to help keep me motivated. Now you may not have as big of an issue or problem to deal with, but that does not make it any less important to you. Just remember, that no matter how hard it seems right now, if you keep with it, it will get easier with time. New things are always scary, which makes them much more difficult. But in a few days or weeks, it will no longer be new, and before you know it, you will forget that it was ever so difficult for you!
I hope this gives you a little bit of motivation today. If you have a topic you would like to have covered, please feel free to leave it in the comments.
And always remember: YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! Whatever THIS is :)
