I will tell you, all the controversy just confuses me. Why? What is the purpose for it? Yes Adventure Animal Park is getting donations, so what, the money is going to save these magnificent creatures and keep them from extinction, and fund their animals. They never claimed to be a non-profit organization. So they are all over the news, GREAT!!!! That just brings more recognition to their cause. If you ask me, that is a WONDERFUL thing.
Maybe it is the fact that everyone loves a baby, especially one that will be 150 pounds and 6 feet tall when born! I know I am glued to Youtube and their live stream every night, and anytime I can get online.
And really? The Today Show stated they don't even think April is pregnant!!!! Are you serious? Do your research, watch the live feed, YOU CAN SEE THE BABY MOVING & KICKING!!!!! An April Fools joke, they say, maybe an April Fools Baby, but it is no joke.
As a parent, I think this is a beautiful thing for the Adventure Animal Park to do. For them to share with the world this beautiful journey, and opening up their facility for the world to see, shows how much they care about their animals and animal conservation.
I have to share with you what my son did last night. I was watching the live feed, and had it full screen on my laptop. Adventure Animal Park does great giving April "treats" to get her to "kiss" the camera and let everyone get an up close view. When they did this last night, my 4 year old (whom if you follow me, you know is Autistic) leaned into the computer and gave April a kiss on the screen. It was the cutest thing ever!!! Every day he asks if April the Giraffe still has the baby giraffe in her belly. He has to sit on my lap and watch, and always "pets" the screen and says he is petting April the Giraffe (it is never just April, it is always "April the Giraffe").
They are also sharing so many wonderful facts about Giraffe's in their morning & evening updates. If you want to learn, or teach your children about Giraffes, just check out their Facebook Page.
And did you know that majority of their animals are rescues? Have you watched how they interact with the animals? You can see the love and care they give. I, for one, wish I lived closer so I could go visit them and help support their wonderful facility.
