In 2008 the best thing to ever happen to me was the great recession. I lost all hope of being in finance and ended up on the beach. What started as a small ocean adventure company blossomed into Everyday California and became a passion. I seriously love clothes. If I wouldn’t wear it, I won’t make it. That goes for our female apparel as well. -Chris
Our search for quality comfort begins with cotton grown right here in the U.S. Some of which comes from just outside of Fresno, CA that's free of pesticides, herbicides, gmo's, toxic fertilizers and only has a 200 mile carbon footprint from farm to factory.
From there, the fabric is cut and sewn in Los Angeles. Each piece is then garment dyed with a softener for a perfect fit and feel. This means the garment is first made and then dyed instead of dyeing the fabric on a roll before the cut-and-sew. The process of garment dyeing allows virtually no shrinkage, ensuring each piece will fit right for as long as you own it.
Once completed the garments are commercially washed and dried which results in a softer feel and richer color. This new fabric combination feels extremely soft in the hand. Comfort never looked so good.
We make all of our apparel in small batches with the exception of some of our staple products. Over time this means you have a unique lineup in your wardrobe. Which helps you stand out amongst the crowd because “having the same [shirt] as six other people in the club is a hella don’t.” -Mackelmore
Lastly, our quality apparel would not be possible without the adventure side of Everyday California. The soul of our company lies within the tours and experiences our amazing guides give of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. The beauty and wonder of the ocean lives in each of us and we put that into every article of clothing we make. This gives each piece an unmatched authenticity.
I received the Topanga Sweater, and I absolutely love it. It really is the softest sweater I have ever put on. It is not too thin, and not too thick, just perfect. And the purple color was a bonus, as it is my favorite color.
This long sleeve raglan sweater piece is garment dyed with a softener for a perfect fit and feel. This means the garment is first made and then dyed. We do not just dye up fabric on a roll and cut-and-sew. The process of garment dying allows for your sweater to fit right for as long as you own it, since there’s virtually no shrinkage. The garment has been commercially washed and dried which results in a softer feel and richer color.
Comfort never looked so good. This light sweater is ideal after an early morning surf session. Throw it on and enjoy the softness.
You can purchase the Topanga Sweater for $60
